Review/Giveaway of “You Were Always in My Heart” by the Chapmans

Compass Classroom Premium Membership free for one month

What a wonderful book I have to share with you today: You Were Always in My Heart: A Shaoey & Dot Adoption Story by Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman.  Many of us have heard of the Chapmans and the fact that they have adopted 3 children!  This precious story tells of a baby girl in China who is taken to an orphanage where she is found by her adopted parents.  It’s told from the perspective of Dot the Ladybug.  The illustrations by Jim Chapman III are adorable and the rhyming story sweet–and it will, of course, make you cry!

I am so glad adoption is so common today.  If you have adopted, you’ll want this book to read to your children.  If you have a friend who’s adopted, please enter to win it for them!

  2. I would give it to my friend who is adopting two boys from Uganda.

  3. I will keep it. All 4 of my children were adopted. We love adding kid friendly books about adoption to our home library. Also I am a fan of the Chapmans.

    1. Neat, Liz! I didn’t realize all your children were adopted!
