Cowboys & Indians Fine Art Pages

Our Cowboys Unit Study was one of my kids’ favorites when they were younger. We found all kinds of fun things to do with it. Art was one area we didn’t focus on, though. Now that I have learned more about the great Cowboys & Indians art, we really missed the boat there.

I really love this new Cowboys & Indians fine art collection from Enrichment Studies. I learned about one of the artists–Frederic Remington–last year when my kids were in an art class at their homeschool co-op. Then, in June I saw his art in person at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. What a pleasure!

The next best thing to taking your kids to see this art in person is to use Enrichment Studies Fine Art Collections to help them learn about it.

The collection is inspired by the action and adventure of the Wild West. There are 30 pieces of printable art to delight your entire family. And it’s so easy to add into Mom’s already full schedule.

The artists included are:

Charles M. Russell was a Montana cowboy that had a deep reverence for the lifestyle of the West, and for the Native Americans that shared the land. He specialized in cowboy and Indian art, creating over 4,000 works during his lifetime. There are 20 of his paintings in the collection.

Frederic Remington was a prolific artist, creating over 2,000 paintings, illustrations, and sculptures during the late 1800s and early 1900s. He specialized in cowboy and Indian subject matter, as well as U.S. Cavalry. Ten of his works are included in this collection.

Winslow Homer Fine Art Pages

Another great set at Enrichment Studies is the Winslow Homer Fine Art Pages set. I also enjoyed seeing his art in person at the Met Art Museum.
