Happy Birthday to our new seven-year-old!

Yesterday was our fourth child’s seventh birthday.  I think she had a great day.  She started out by opening presents from her parents and grandparents.

She loved making her butterfly box (from Melissa & Doug–be sure to see the end of this post for a chance to win a shopping spree!).  She was so excited to get her first set of Legos!  And, always a hit–the Melissa & Doug flashlight!

She wore her new dress all day long (and is wearing it today, too!)

They made these cute placemats for our dinner table:

And she wanted an angel cake. I made two 9-inch circle cakes. The pictures below show how I made it look like an angel.

I made my favorite buttercream frosting, and the kids decorated it with sprinkles and Easter M&Ms.

One of our traditions is to go around the table and say something that we love about the person who is having the birthday.  And I always have my memories of each child’s birth.  Here is hers.

  1. What a fun little party! We are in birthday mode right now with 4 down and 2 more to go this spring. We get a little break and pick back up late summer.

    Blessings!

  2. I hopped over to your blog from Kelly’s Corner and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the picture of your kids at the top. My daughter and I were just at the Rainbow Playset Place on Friday and you and your children were there as well. What a small world!

    1. Wow! What a small world! Just so you know, they do have other shirts to wear! 🙂
