The Sounds of the Highway

Today I have another guest post–this time from my oldest son!

“THE SOUNDS OF THE HIGHWAY”

A million engines roaring on the interstate,

Cars skidding off to who knows where,

Squad cars rushing to catch a car speeding,

Ambulance sirens blaring, hurrying to help some injured person,

The wails of road kill dying,

But one sound gives a hint of hope:

The sound of kids practicing their clarinets.

 

LOL

I got the idea of writing this humorous poem when my Mom suggested me to practice my clarinet in my Dad’s car on the way to a Father-Son camp.
