Me and my husband adopted a new baby puppy. He’s coming home in the middle of October so we are going to celebrate this Halloween with a nice dinner and watch scary movies all night and pass candy out for the kids in the neighborhood. We are very excited for our Baby coming home. We lost our other baby august 17th. His name was jake. He died of Rocky Mountain Fever. There was no cure. We were camping when it happened. We woke up in the morning and he was cuddled up to my husband and died next to him. He loved cuddling with his daddy, he always did. Where ever my husband went jake was always next to him. He went where ever his daddy went. He was never without him except when my husband was at work but as soon as he came home from work jake was right there at the fence waiting for him. He knew when my husband was coming home, he really did. We never knew love felt like this and we never knew love could hurt like this. Are hearts are truly broken. The pain of losing him is overwhelming, very extreme. If anyone ever lost an animal they truly loved will understand. He was not just a dog to us, he was our baby boy, our son. We adopted a new baby boy but not to replace jake but to bring love and joy back into the house. We will never forget jake and we will never stop loving him. We buried jake on top of the Rocky Mountains with an amazing veiw he will have for eternity. Mommy and daddy love you jake and we will never stop.

I am going as Jessica Rabbit for Halloween. Thrift Store dress with alterations by hand, white rabbit stuffed animal with red pants and suspenders made out of last year’s costume socks. Purple opera gloves from the Halloween store were the biggest expense at $12. My friend’s son Oliver (who is practically my nephew/son) is going as General Grievous, from Star Wars. About two weeks away and we are still debating on whether we want to thrift store it, sew it ourselves, or buy it and be lazy but closer to the character.

Good fall morning to you Gena, I loved your #diy costumes you made. Being a seamstress myself, I always made my daughters costumes. I love using pinking sheers on her fabrics I use to make into each years costume. I think her best one was puff the magic dragon one year. The pinking sheers made the scales on the costumes look 3D. And we put baby powder in her shoes so as she stepped they would puff out smoke lol and everyone got such a laugh from it that she loved. She’s grown now with our only grandson and I love seeing what he’ll be every year as they drop by to show us and get candy apples that I’ll make.
