Fall Hymns and Songs

Here is a list of the fall hymns and songs we’ll be singing during our evening family worship time until Christmas-time.  I try to choose a variety of hymns and praise songs so that our kids will eventually learn them.  Right now, my husband and I do most of the singing!

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin

And opened the Life gate that all may go in.

Holiness

A Mighty Fortress is Our God

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing.

Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing.

His craft and pow’r are great, and armed with cruel hate

On earth is not his equal.

 

You Are My Hiding Place

You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance.

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Friday

Victory in Jesus

I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory,

How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me.

I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood?s atoning,

Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

 

O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever,

He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood;

He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him,

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

 

Awesome God

Our God is an awesome God;

He reigns from heaven above

With wisdom, power and love.

Our God is an awesome God!

 

Saturday

Be Thou My Vision

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;

Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art,

Thou my best thought, by day or by night,

Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

 

Come Let Us Worship and Bow Down

Come let us worship and bow down;

Let us kneel before the Lord our God, our Maker. (2x)

For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture.

And the sheep of His hand, Just the sheep of His hand.
