Grandma Moses in Famous Artists: Volume 2
Here is how my kids did the Folk Art Project:
As I was looking through the various artists and projects in Famous Artists: Volume 2 to choose one for us to do, I immediately fell in love with this one. First, I have always loved Grandma Moses and her down-home folksy style and the inspirational story of how she started painting (and got famous) so late in life. But, I also loved that this folk art project included sewing along with painting!
- Canvas paper
- acrylic paints
- paint brushes
- embroidery needles
- colored embroidery floss
- pencils
- newspaper to protect the table
- paper plates to hold the paint
- paper towels.
Famous Artists, Volume 2 Online Unit Study course
We have used online unit studies for several years and love the way these are put together! You do most of the work, research, and learning online. In this particular course, there are some supplies to purchase if you’d like to do the physical art projects that are in the style of the artists you are studying. But, usually, everything you need is right there online: what to read, videos to watch, and even the projects because they are digital online projects!
