Winter 2020 Artza Box
See everything that came in my Artza Box from winter 2020/2021. It was from Bethlehem! See the fun Artza Box unboxing video below!
There are cards that tell you about the different artisans who made the items.
This fun family game can be played around our dinner table! The ladies who created the game are Anati and Sarit.
I loved the toffee and ate it all in one sitting! It was fun to read about the artisanal chocolate maker Oded who had once been a professional basketball player in Israel. After basketball, he studied his craft in Belgium and now makes delicious toffees, chocolates, and marzipan. His staff includes adults with developmental challenges.
The chocolate is dark chocolate and peppermint. And, the almond butter–delicious! It came with a recipe to my Halva Almond Swirl cookies using the almond butter. (See pictures of our cookies below!)
I adore these hand-carved ornaments of olive wood, and they are now hanging on my Christmas tree. It was fascinating to read the story of Jamil and how he has worked in carving olive wood for 40 years!
These are the coasters (which are part of the Premium Artza Box) that are now adorning my end tables.
The postcards have some beautiful scenes from Israel in black and white photography. I loved reading how the grandson of the photographer now runs his shop called the Photohouse. He chose a collection of photos for postcards in the Premium Artza Box, some of which have never been seen publicly! I’m going to choose a few to frame.
What a pretty hand-painted ceramic plate!
The candle smells delightful and is now on my bedroom dresser.
Where are the next Artza Boxes coming from?
Coming up:
- Spring 2021~ Jerusalem
- Summer 2021 ~ Galilee
- Autumn 2021 ~ Judaean Desert
Every Artza Box contains: * something for the soul * something to inspire * something to learn * something to taste * something to share * something for the body
My Review of Artza Box subscription box from Israel
I am thrilled with all the incredible handmade items in this box! The hand-crafted Olive wood ornaments are up on my tree, the family game is sitting by the dinner table, and I ate all three of the food items (the toffee was to die for!). The coasters, plate, and candle have been placed in special spots in my home.
I asked my baker daughter to make the Halva Almond Swirl Cookies with the included recipe and almond butter — just tried one, so yummy!
I really love this box. Other than my clothes subscription boxes from Stitch Fix and Wantable, the Artza Box is by far the favorite subscription box I’ve ever received!
The only negative I have is that the almond butter jar was broken. I was still able to use it by pouring it into another container. It was wrapped up well in bubble wrap, so I really think it must have been a fluke.
