Busy Week
I haven’t posted for a few days! We have been so busy around here. My mom came to visit from California a week and a half ago. We’ve been trying to fit in as much as we can! Here’s a short summary, and I’ll post pictures next.
On Memorial Day, we went to our town’s parade. It lasted all of 5 minutes! But it still managed to bring me to tears–just the flag can do that. Add veterans, too, and I lose it!
After the parade we headed over to a nearby museum that had an exhibit about Golden Books.
We also went to the Chicago Botanic Garden and went through the model railway garden. It was so neat.
A missionary who are close to our family were visiting from Kenya, so one night we spent having dinner with them.
Last weekend was our annual Christian Homeschooling conference. My husband and I went while my mom watched the kids. Such an encouragement, as always.
On Sunday, 3 families met together for worship and sharing about the conference. It was a great way to wrap up the weekend.
Yesterday, we went on one more field trip–to the Adler Planetarium. We’ve been studying astronomy this year, so this was a great ending to our study!
