Poetry Resources from Enrichment Studies!
It’s National Poetry month and I want to share some awesome poetry resources to help your students (and you!) learn more about some Great American Poets from Enrichment Studies.
The first set has lessons about these poets:
- William Cullen Bryant (1794-1878)
- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)
- Oliver Wendell Holmes (1809-1894)
- Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
- Walt Whitman (1819-1892)
The second set has lessons about these poets:
- Emily Dickinson
- Louisa May Alcott
- Carl Sandburg
- E.E. Cummings
- Robert Frost
- Langston Hughes
I have the first set and it has some fantastic features! For example, on the William Cullen Bryant page you can see a photo, read a biography, sign up to get a 5-day tour (set of 5 emails about the poet), get links to an extensive biography and a timeline of his life, get a free note booking page, find quotes, get a free printable lesson plan, “visit” his homestead, get copywork, get other kinds of note booking pages, get links to free ebooks and audios of his poetry, AND see 8 videos of his poetry and life! And that’s just for one poet!
