Review of I Am: 40 Reasons to Trust God

I Am- 40 Reasons to Trust God review and giveaway

Review of I Am: 40 Reasons to Trust God

We have received a new book called I Am: 40 Reasons to Trust God by Diane Stortz, illustrated by Diane Le Feyer. I’ve been using it with my elementary-aged kids for our daily Bible time.

The main way to describe the book is that it goes through names of God and relates each name to a particular event or story in the Bible. It explains the names and characteristics of God in a way that children would understand and shows them why they can trust Him.

The 40 lessons go in order of stories in the Bible and include Creation, the Exodus, the fall of Jericho, David’s anointing as king, Jesus washing His disciples’ feet, Saul’s conversion on the Damascus road, and Jesus reigning as King. Some of the Names of God we learn about are Jehovah Jireh, The Lord My Shepherd, Immanuel, Rabbi, Creator, and I Am.

I love the illustrations. This is such a gorgeous book to look at! But more importantly, it is a book that will help my kids understand God better and bring them closer to Him.

*Each chapter features Scripture verses, a Bible story, prayer, and a lesson so kids can learn about the nature of God

* Hardback book, 224 pages long.

*Includes pronunciation guide for each of the names of God

*Beautiful cover embellished with foil and glitter with an attached ribbon bookmark

Wish I’d seen this before I wrote a book on 40 names of Jesus. But I hope mine still has a purpose in that it’s an ebook, and cheap, and aimed at leading up to Easter.

  2. God’s timing is amazing! My daughter has started seeing a counselor for anxiety and panic attacks, and the counselor told us yesterday that she wants my daughter to learn the names of God to call on and meditate on during times of anxiety or panic attacks. I was Googling books and curriculum until 1am. And today I get this email in my inbox! JEHOVAH JIREH! God is my provider!
