Grubmarket California Fruit Bounty Review and Giveaway

I just had the exciting experience of opening up a box of fruit delivered by FedEx. It was from GrubMarket, where you can get wholesome food at wholesale prices, always 20-50% off! Specifically I received the regular-size California Fruit Bounty box.

Grubmarket Fruit Basket

We got

  • a pineapple
  • a pomegranate
  • a grapefruit
  • a box of dates
  • an avocado
  • 3 blood oranges
  • a tangerine
  • 3 apples
  • a pear

GrubMarket delivers local fresh food. It’s direct, farm-to-door. Pretty cool. And perfect since I’ve started eating mostly whole foods. 🙂

You can an extra 20% off their your first order by using code GRUB20 and free shipping on orders over $59.

But you can also enter to win your own box–see the Rafflecopter entry form at the end of this post.

See all they offer at the GrubMarket website.

They have farm produce, fresh fruits, condiments, organic eggs, pasture raised meat, baked goods, candies, healthy snacks, beverages, delicious dairy, and pantry products.

Here is how it came packed in the box–in nice soft packing material and wrapped individually in tissue paper.

I was happy with the quality of most of the fruit. It tasted delicious! The pear was almost overripe, so I ate it immediately. The avocado was also almost overripe, but I ate it the next day.

About GrubMarket:

GrubMarket is all about providing accessibility, by delivering the following key benefits to their stakeholders:

  • Unbeatable prices: While many food delivery services and premium grocers cater to high-income earners, GrubMarket is committed to making fresh and delicious food accessible to all people by keeping their prices consistently lower than all comparable grocers.
  • Convenience: Through their reliable operations, GrubMarket is committed to providing people in food deserts (ie. areas without farmers’ markets and fresh grocery stores) with access to high-quality, freshly-harvested items that they would typically find at a farmers’ market or Whole Foods store. Additionally, they offer free delivery across the U.S. for all orders above $59.
  • Food Discovery: GrubMarket provides a platform for their partnering small farms and vendors to sell their items directly to customers. Many of these food producers have challenges getting shelf space at grocery stores, and/or may not want to pay the upfront costs of hosting farmers’ market tables. GrubMarket gives these food producers access to tens of thousands of customers through a robust online marketplace, regardless of the food producers’ production scale.

GrubMarket firmly believes that you, your family, and your friends should always have the opportunity to eat well, and that price should never be a barrier between you and healthy, delicious, and freshly-harvested food. They are committed to providing you with the best grocery experience possible, by regularly offering you wholesome foods at wholesale prices. They work with a variety of farms and artisan producers to bring you high-quality foods and other items at prices that are up to 50% OFF what you’d typically find at Whole Foods and other grocers.

I like that you might get fruit that you usually don’t buy so it mixes things up a bit.

  4. Amy Orvin says:

I love that they offer wholesale prices to customers.

  5. I like the food discovery element. I would virtually never buy things like dates and pomegranates because around here, you have to drive to a specialty store for items like that; the normal grocery store where I shop doesn’t carry them. It would be fun to make a special thing of trying out the month’s new fruits with the kiddos 🙂

  6. I like how accessible and convenient they are.
