Review/Giveaway of “Your Story Hour”

Patterns of Destiny CD Album 7
Have you ever heard of Your Story Hour? They were established in 1949 and produce wonderful CDs (also in MP3) of stories that children LOVE to listen to. As a Christian organization, all stories are God-honoring and encourage children in the faith.
Great Stories Volume 4 CD Album
We had the opportunity to listen to Great Stories, Volume 4 which has 13 wonderful stories, about 6 hours of listening. My kids and I were entralled as we sat to listen. We learned about history–the fighting of yellow fever at the Panama Canal. We heard two wonderful dog rescue stories. And we learned about the first woman doctor, Elizabeth Blackwell.
I was impressed with the quality of the recordings, and its focus on honoring God. I am always looking for different audios for my younger kids to listen to during our afternoon rest time, and Your Story Hour CDs are perfect!
Here are a few other CD/MP3 sets to choose from: History Stories, Adventure Stories, and Bible Stories–to help the Bible come to life! See all choices here.
They post a new story each week so you can check them out and see what you think.
If you know someone who’d like them in Spanish or Russian, they have that, too!

Be sure to like Your Story Hour on Facebook: FB/YourStoryHour

And here’s the Giveaway: One person will receive their choice of album in MP3 form!

  2. Kim Harris says:

I’ve been listening to Your Story Hour for as long as I can remember. I would love to get Great Stories volume 1 for my nephew.

  3. I grew up with Your Story Hour and now my kids listen to it every chance we get. I have the CD’s and converted them to MP3 and put them on to my iTunes. Then with a iPod Shuffle which I update once in a while, we listen whenever we are in the van heading places.

I have all the story CD’s and am always on the look out for more.

Based in Berrien Springs, MI, I have been to their studio and am blessed by the dedication and love for the Lord these people have.

  4. That would be a hard choice–any of the great stories series would be great. Perhaps Volume 7.
