The Most Important & Useful Thing You Can Do to Prepare for Your Homeschool Year
I’ve been homeschooling a long time. Some years I’m more prepared than others. Last year was a bad year. It was compounded by the fact that we made a sudden and unexpected move in the middle of the school year. I know what I want to do this year to be far more prepared. And I’d like to share it with you. Read on for my recommendations on the most important & useful thing you can do to prepare for your homeschool year!
The Most Important & Useful Thing You Can Do to Prepare for Your Homeschool Year:
Beyond praying, setting goals, talking with your husband to get on the same page, and actually purchasing the curriculum and supplies, the most important & useful thing you can do to prepare for your homeschool year is to have everything you need to have printed and copied completed BEFORE you start your homeschool year! This was my failure last year, and why we didn’t get as much accomplished as I wanted to.

After getting those copies made, you can organize all those copies in a number of different ways:
- Put into binders, separated by subject and by child
- File in file folders, ready to give the kids as they need them throughout the year
- Put in workboxes
- Create notebooks with a binder
I recommend Ana Willis’s 5 Days to Your Best Homeschool Year online course for helping you plan out your year.
And to make all those copies, I HIGHLY recommend Family Nest Printing~ read on below to see how to get a discount!
