I don't have anything major to say, but wanted to share about my day. My husband was out of town yesterday and today. I woke up at 6 a.m. and no one else was awake. It was wonderful to get to stay in my bed for 30 more minutes reading the Scripture and praying–no interruptions! I taught two classes of Musikgarten this morning and then took the older two kids to swim lessons. They are 4 and 5 years old and are doing pretty well. The little ones and I watch them and eat Cheerios!
We then came home for lunch and naps. I wasn't too tired today. I have started the 2nd trimester, so hopefully I'll have a little more energy. I took extra time reading to all the kids and then laid down to rest for about an hour. After naptime, I got down the plastic Easter eggs to teach my 2 yo how to find them and put them in her basket. We're going to do an egg hunt tomorrow. Then we went for a walk/ bike ride. When we returned we found that a friend had left kites and bubbles for the kids. There was no wind, but they went out in the backyard and used up all the bubbles! Then dinner and the boys watched the rest of a Space Shuttle video while I nursed the baby and put her to bed. Then more stories and songs for the older three and all in bed by 7:30.
Tomorrow evening we plan to dye eggs with Daddy. Saturday night I'm going to make the Resurrection cookies. I'll post the recipe as soon as I can. I hope it will work without adding the nuts. One of my kids has a nut allergy. Then on Sunday to celebrate the Lord's resurrection day we will get to see my sister and her family who are coming up from Colorado!
I have been wondering about you , but figured pregnancy on top of life is keeping you too busy to blog.
Happy Resurrection Day!
