1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 pint half-and-half
2 cloves minced garlic
2-3 T. cornstarch
1/4 cup grated (or shredded) Parmesan cheese
Melt butter in pan over low heat. Add half-and-half and garlic. Increase heat to medium and whisk in cornstarch a little at a time, stirring constantly until thickened. Add more cornstarch if needed. Stir in cheese. If it gets too thick, add a little milk.
Great over noodles or vegetables.
