Beloved: 365 Devotions for Young Women review

Beloved: 365 Devotions for Young Women is the newest devotional from Zondervan by Lindsay A. Franklin.
It addresses some of the most important topics to young women of today: relationships, inner beauty, fears, doubts, and chasing dreams.
This devotional gives teen girls great women role models from the Bible to admire and learn from as they grow and understand who they are.

What I love about Beloved: 365 Devotions for Young Women

Beloved is a devotional that combines going slowly through many verses of books of the Bible (such as Genesis and Ruth) to share the inspiring stories of girls and women in the Bible—amazing women such as Ruth, Esther, Hannah, Mary, and Abigail—to encourage faith and confidence in today’s young women.
I love how it can be a guide to easily read the Word each day since each of the 365 daily devotions only includes one or two verses of Scripture. But, since it’s often going through a specific book, like Esther or 1 Samuel, the young lady can also take some time to study that book if she wishes to.
Girls searching for truth and guidance will find it in this devotional. It addresses issues young women are facing today, in language they can relate to.
Look at this example about the biblical woman Eve on Day 9:
“. . . God fitted that perfect piece through Eve. She was that before she was “the sin girl.” You are not defined by your mistakes, either, no matter how much it feels that way sometimes. God saw Eve as the complete person she was. She suffered consequences, absolutely, but God also blessed and cared for her. We don’t have to let our mistakes become our identity.”
