Essential Oil Jewelry: My Favorite Way to Use Essential Oils

Essential Oils are all the rage. Their popularity grew even more in 2020 during the pandemic and stay-at-home orders. I’ve always dabbled a bit in essential oils, but do you know my favorite way to use them? In essential oil jewelry!

Types of Essential Oil Jewelry

Essential oil jewelry has expanded quite a bit in the past few years. There are three basic types that I enjoy wearing.

  1. Leather jewelry where you can put the oil on the suede (back) side of the leather. (I have wrap bracelets and statement earrings of these.)
  2. Jewelry that opens so you can insert a felt pad that the oil is put on. I love these in pendant necklaces and my car diffuser!
  3. Jewelry made with lava stones that can soak up the oil. My newest favorite! Just place one drop of oil on the stone. There are necklaces and bracelets and they come in all colors!

Why I use Essential Oil Jewelry

I have a diffuser but my husband doesn’t really like to smell essential oils in the air, so I don’t use it. However, I love to smell them! That’s why I use the jewelry–because I can keep it with me all day.

Also, I love the way the jewelry looks. This is such as great variety in style, and it really adds to my Homeschool Mom Fashion outfits!

And, they help with my mood. Sometimes I’ll use an oil to give me energy, or one to calm anxiety, or one to help alleviate a headache.

What Essential Oils I Use in the Jewelry

Grapefruit

Grapefruit oil is my all-time favorite. It lifts my mood and makes me smile!

Lavender

Lavender helps calm me when things are feeling stressful. I also have a blend of it in a roller that I put on my pillow at night.

Warm and Cozy essential oil blend

This blend called Warm and Cozy one reminds me of my home growing up because my mom would cook a mixture of orange, cloves, and cinnamon bark on the stove to give off a lovely aroma. It makes me feel warm and cozy!

Loads of Fun essential oil blend

A new favorite. Bring on the fun mom!

Another Way to Use Essential Oils–in the Car!

I received a car diffuser to try out from Drops of Joy. Very fun! It has a felt pad that you add the oil to. Then, just insert it into the air vent.

I keep it in my purse so I can move it around from car to car (since I don’t always drive the same one in our family).
