Making Homemade Tortillas

Homemade Tortillas 004

Homemade Tortillas

I did something this week that I’ve been wanting to do for years!  I made homemade tortillas!

We’re doing a unit study about the American Girl Josefina who lived in New Mexico in 1824.  We got the recipe for tortillas from the Josefina Cook Book.  The kids helped make them and everyone loved them!  We eat a lot of tortillas every week, so I think I’ll invest in a tortilla press to make the process of making them a little quicker (and the tortillas rounder!).
