Sewing Butterfly Quilts

Last month I made some time in my schedule (usually sacrificing sleep 🙂 )to sew an adorable rag butterfly quilt for my niece.  It’s from this pattern: Simplicity 2935

Now, I’m going to make another one for her new sister, who is at this moment on a plane from Ethiopia to her new home in the United States!  The next butterfly will be sewn in bold colors instead of the pastels I did before.  I’ll post more pictures as soon as I get it made!  If you’d like to read about my sister’s adoption, here is her blog:  theduprasproject.blogspot.com.
