What do sunflowers have to do with the country of Ukraine? Sunflowers have grown in Ukraine since the 1700s. Ukraine is a top exporter of sunflower oil. The flower became a symbol of peace for Ukrainians in the 1990s and still is today.

Sunflower Coasters Supplies:
- 4-inch ceramic coasters (tiles)
- Sunflower napkins (see if you can find these at Dollar Tree, or there are other options at Amazon)
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush
- 3/8 – inch Felt Sliders/Furniture Pads
- Tacky glue
Sunflower Coasters Tutorial Directions:
Open the napkin, and cut the quarter of the napkins with the sunflower on it. If you have a larger napkin, just cut out a 4×4-inch square.
Use the foam brush to apply Mod Podge to the entire top and sides of the ceramic tiles.
Set a napkin centered on the tile, and smooth out across the top surface of the tile, starting from the middle. Fold the sides in slightly, then wrap the excess of the napkin down the sides.
Apply Mod Podge to the top of the entire napkin, working the Mod Podge beyond the surface of the napkin, onto the bottom of the tile, to help seal it completely. Once dry, repeat this step again. Once the second layer is dry, repeat this step for a third time.
Peel the backing off the felt sliders, and add a small amount of glue to the back of each one. Secure 4 felt sliders onto the bottom of the tile, about ½-inch from each of the corners.
Display around your home!
