This is our Fun FREE Kick-off Event called Spring into an Epic Summer Adventure!
Join Alisha and Olivia Gratehouse of Masterpiece Society, Gena Mayo of Music in Our Homeschool, and Dachelle McVey of Literary Adventures for Kids May 22-24 for an hour each day for a LIVE fun kick-off event.
We’ll get immersed in Middle Earth as we prepare for a summer of learning with the hobbits, dwarves, and elves of J.R.R. Tolkien’s books The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings!
We’ll be streaming Spring into an Epic Summer Adventure live to several locations at once, so pick your favorite place to join in the adventure.

Who is it for?
Mainly for upper elementary through high school, but the whole family will enjoy Spring into an Epic Summer Adventure.
What will we do during the hour each day?
- Dress in the costume of the theme of the day!
- Choose our hobbit/dwarf/elven names
- Introduce the art pieces, cosplay crafts, food, and quest from ARTventure into Middle Earth Summer Art Camp
- Listen to music and talk about themes
- Have a poetry teatime and talk about the poetry and verse of Middle Earth

Costume Ideas!
Hobbit:
Wear a gray towel attached with a claw clip and tape or pin a Leaf of Lorien to it.
Download a Leaf of Lorien here:
Dwarf:
Use a ball cap and cover it with duct tape, decorated with designs made with a Sharpie.
Elf:
Girls may simply comb hair back and straight and wear a necklace across the forehead! For clothes, wear something pretty.
