Today my little baby turned 1 year old! She is such a little sweetie. But I can't believe it's been a year already.
It, of course, reminded me of where I was a year ago today. I woke up at 2:30 a.m. with contractions, but not strong or very regular, so I couldn't really tell if I was in labor or not. To make it more difficult, I do have strong, regular and long-lasting contractions which start 2 months before my due date, so it's very hard to know when it's for real. Well, by 4 a.m. I could tell, so I called a babysitter. My second phone call was to a lady who sounded wide awake. She had woken up to start her Bible Study a few minutes before I called her! She got here at 4:20 a.m. By then I was getting a little worried. My husband made the 40-minute drive to the hospital in 20 minutes! I got to the room at 4:40. The second I got up on the bed, I said, “I need to push.” The funniest thing was the nurses yelling into the hallway, “Get the 'doc in the box' [the OB who sleeps over in case of emergencies.] Well, he didn't even make it to the room before my precious little girl was born! What a miracle!
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on my blog. I’m really enjoying reading yours. I loved the birth story! 🙂
