New songs to sing

I’ve made a new list for my husband and I to sing with our boys before bed every night.  Here is the list with words in case anyone is interested.

SUNDAY

Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;

He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;

His truth is marching on.

Glory! Glory, hallelujah! Glory! Glory, hallelujah!

Glory! Glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

We Will Glorify

We will glorify the King of kings. We will glorify the Lamb.

We will glorify the Lord of lords, Who is the great I AM.

Lord Jehovah reigns in majesty. We will bow before His throne;

We will worship Him in righteousness; We will worship Him alone.

He is Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, He is Lord of all who live;

He is Lord above the universe, All praise to Him we give.

Hallelujah to the King of kings. Hallelujah to the Lamb.

Hallelujah to the Lord of lords, Who is the great I AM.

MONDAY

Onward Christian Soldiers

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,

With the cross of Jesus going on before!

Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;

Forward into battle, see His banner go!

Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war,

With the cross of Jesus going on before!

All in All

You are my strength when I am weak.

You are the treasure that I seek.

You are my all in all.

Seeking You as a precious jewel,

Lord, to give up I?d be a fool.

You are my all in all.

Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is your name.

Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is your name.

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame,

Rising again I bless Your name.

You are my all in all.

When I fall down You pick me up.

When I am dry You fill my cup.

You are my all in all.

Tuesday

Jesus Paid it All

I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small,

Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in me thine all in all.”

Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe;

Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

As the Deer

As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee.

You alone are my heart?s desire, and I long to worship Thee.

You alone are my strength, my shield.

To You alone may my spirit yield.

You alone are my heart?s desire,

And I long to worship Thee.

Wednesday

When We All Get to Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus; sing His mercy and His grace.

In the mansions bright and blessed, He?ll prepare for us a place.

When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!

When we all see Jesus, we?ll sing and shout the victory.

I Will Change Your Name

I will change your name, You shall no longer be called

Wounded, outcast, lonely or afraid.

I will change your name, Your new name shall be

Confidence, joyfulness, overcoming one.

Faithfulness, friend of God, one who seeks My face.

THURSDAY

There?s a Land That Is Fairer Than Day (Sweet By and By)

There?s a land that is fairer than day,

And by faith we can see it afar;

For the Father waits over the way

To prepare us a dwelling place there.

In the sweet by and by, We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

In the sweet by and by, We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

What the Lord Has Done in Me

Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Let the poor say, “I am rich.”

Let the blind say, “I can see; It?s what the Lord has done in me.”

Hosanna, hosanna to the Lamb that was slain.

Hosanna, hosanna, Jesus died and rose again.

FRIDAY

On Jordan?s Stormy Banks

On Jordan?s stormy banks I stand and cast a wishful eye

To Canaan?s fair and happy land where my possessions lie.

I am bound for the promised land,

I am bound for the promised land.

O who will come and go with me?

I am bound for the promised land.

Seek Ye First

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness,

And all these things shall be added unto you?Alleluia, alleluia.

SATURDAY

America, the Beautiful

Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain.

For purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain.

America, America, God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.

Wonderful, Merciful Savior

Wonderful, merciful Savior; Precious Redeemer and Friend.

Who would have thought that a Lamb could rescue the souls of men, Oh, You rescue the souls of men.

Counselor, Comforter, Keeper; Spirit we long to embrace

You offer hope when our hearts have hopelessly lost the way

Oh, we?ve hopelessly lost the way.

You are the One that we praise. You are the One we adore.

You give the healing and grace our hearts always hunger for,

Oh, our hearts always hunger for.
