If you want to study space all year (we are doing this for the second time now!), I highly recommend Jeannie Fulbright’s Exploring Creation with Astronomy for grades K-6. Experiments/projects, journaling notebook, and lapbook materials all available!

To the Adler Planetarium in Chicago! What a wonderful place for kids to explore and learn more about space.
