My Membership Story

I started my online business in earnest about 10 years ago with some printable ebook curriculum and then I turned those into online courses. Things were going ok, and I was making a few thousand dollars a year. It was enough to pay for my time, but not enough to make a dent in our family budget.

Music in Our Homeschool Plus is the membership for homeschoolers in preschool through high school!

After watching a free workshop about how to start and run a membership, I decided to give it a try. I launched my first membership, Music in Our Homeschool Plus: the Elementary Membership Experience, in November 2019. In 2020 my business took off. My membership grew, and so did my monthly “paycheck!” In September 2020 I launched a second membership called Fine Arts in Our Homeschool Plus: the High School Membership Experience.

To simplify for both me and my members, I’ve now combined the two memberships into one! Music in Our Homeschool Plus now provides music and fine arts for preschool through high school!

And, now, to make it even better, I’m going to add 3 tiers to the membership in May 2024 so that every homeschooler can find a tier that works for them!

How I Finally Grew

This was really fun! I just took a few minutes to look back at my business to create this graphic for you. And, it was even more obvious than I expected to see how much Stu’s course The Membership Experience helped me grow and stay consistent.

Stu’s free trainings (podcasts, blog posts, webinars, and free workshops) gave me the tools and confidence to start my membership.

But, as you can see, after I took his course called The Membership Experience and started applying what I learned, it really took off and has given me consistent monthly income ever since!
